UAE now and in the past

Forty years ago, the UAE was only yellow sand with no trees or streets full of light. Nowadays, the UAE is much more beautiful than ever with these tall buildings, and green trees. I’m going to discuss the similarities and the differences between Abu Dhabi now and before.

There are many similarities, and the first similarity is that both the UAE now and in the past has the same royal family which is called Al Nayan. The second similarity is that there is the same religion and it’s Islam. You can find that the UAE’s weather has never changed. Additionally the UAE in the past and now has the same traditions. In the past people in the UAE spoke Arabic language, and so it is today.

Although there are many similarities, there are several differences, and one of them is that in the past, people used to work in several jobs like fishing and grazing sheep, but nowadays, people can find jobs in many places like a fireman or a banker. Another one is that the UAE in the past had no schools; people used to take their children to the mosques where the Motwa taught them the holy Quran, whereas nowadays, you can find schools and colleges everywhere.

All in all, I prefer to live at this time, where you can find a lot of things than to live in the past where there were no cars and AC around you. However, the only reason I want to live in the past UAE is that there was no air pollution so that of course this is good for health.
